Rachel Heney, who calls herself Limbic Noodle online, is a neurodivergent teacher in Saskatchewan, Canada. She is part of a neurodivergent family, having a child who is also neurodivergent, along with many other family members. Rachel’s family are multiply neurodivergent, as many members are Autistic, as well as ones who have ADHD, epilepsy, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorder, dyslexia, schizophrenia, and acquired brain injury through stroke. Rachel wrote her Master of Educational Foundations thesis through the lens of Critical Disability Studies. Her thesis is entitled “dis/Humanity and Autism: Dehumanizing and Rehumanizing.” This thesis may be read at the following: https://hdl.handle.net/10388/15118
Rachel has come to realize that she needs a way to promote neuroaffirming and trauma-informed practices to other neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent teachers in Saskatchewan, helping to create more neuroaffirming environments in the process.

This section will be fleshed-out as board members are recruited.
